Multigrade Filters

The Multigrade filter is a depth filter which performs at a substantially higher specific flow rate than conventional filters. It makes use of coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. This arrangement produces a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for retaining both large and small suspended particles. It has been successfully producing a filtrate with less than 2 ppm. This filter performs at a substantially higher specific flow rate than conventional filters. The Multigrade filters are available from flow rate of 6m3/hr. To 200 m3/hr.

Applications:-

The multigrade filter is a perfect choice for all applications where a conventional sand filter is used. It is extensively used in water treatment, Iron removal filtration, side stream filtration of cooling water.

Advantages:-

Higher specific flow rate than conventional down flow sand filters thereby saving in space and cost.

2. Less backwash water requirement.
3. Raw water can be used for backwash.
4. Very little maintenance required.
Specifications:-

One vertical cylindrical mild steel pressure vessel with dish ends painted internally with anti corrosive bituminous paint and externally with red oxide primer.

One set of internal water distribution and collection system. One set of frontal pipe work and valves Two pressure gauges to monitor head loss across the filter. Maximum/minimum operating pressure will be 3.5kg./cm. And 2.0 kg/cm respectively.

 

 
         
         
         
 

Softener

The Down flow Softener is a manually designed specially for heavy use. It is simple to operate, inexpensive to maintain and is widely used in the industry, Housing estate , Hotels, Hospitals, Heat Exchanger, Tea Processing unit. Air Conditioning Paint, Boiler, Textiles Industries, Ice Factory, Breweries etc.The softener comprises and control valves. A strongly acidic caution Exchange resin in sodium form is used to exchange sodium ions for the hardness-forming calcium and magnesium ions, and thus produce soft water. At the end of each service cycle, the resin is regenerated with sodium chloride solution, after which the unit is ready for the next service cycle. For larger plants, a brine measuring tank is provided, and a separate salt saturator, preferably in concrete, is recommended for bulk storage of salt and preparation of brine. Standard equipment is available to soften water, up to a maximum flow rate of 275m3/h.

Specifications:-

One Mild steel pressure vessel provided with an inlet distributor, an outlet collecting system and a brine distributor. The vessel is painted externally with a protective coat of red oxide and internally with anti-corrosive bituminous paint. One set of control valves, with all piping to inlet and outlet terminals. One combined salt tank/brine measuring tank, Provided with brine suction piping with adjustable indication clamp, hydraulic ejector and control valve. One orifice board for indicating wash and rinse flow rates (to be fitted in the drain sump). One charge of caution exchange resin with supporting under bed. One hardness test kit for testing the softened water.

Automatic Pool Filters

Upflow Softener

The up flow Softener incorporates the proven technique of counter flow regeneration, which produces treated water with low residual hardness throughout the cycle.

These softeners are specially designed to suit small and medium scale industries.

A strongly acidic caution exchange resin in sodium forms used to exchange sodium ions for hardness forming calcium and magnesium, and thus produce soft water. At the end of each service cycle, the resin is regenerated with sodium chloride solution, after which the unit is ready for the next service cycle. The unit can be easily assembled and does not require any elaborate foundation. Up flow Softeners are available in a range of different sizes (see Technical Data).
